Privacy Policy — TikiShelf
This policy describes how TikiShelf ("the app") handles information. TikiShelf stores your data on your device by default. Data is uploaded only when you explicitly enable optional iCloud sync or choose to export or share content.
Summary
- No account is required to use the app.
- No advertising and no third-party tracking for analytics or marketing.
- Your content and settings are stored locally on your device unless you use an optional feature described below.
Data we do not collect
We do not operate a Biutimi server that stores your personal catalog, photos, recipes or similar app content. We do not sell your data.
Data on your device
Information you enter or import in TikiShelf is kept in the app's local storage on your iPhone or iPad, subject to Apple's platform security. You can remove it by deleting the app or using in-app export/delete features where provided.
App-specific notes
TikiShelf stores your home-bar inventory, bottle selections, settings, saved riffs, journal entries, ratings, notes and photos locally on your iPhone or iPad by default.
If you enable optional iCloud sync, TikiShelf uploads a private backup containing those items to your iCloud account and uses it to synchronize your Apple devices signed in with the same Apple ID. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy. Biutimi does not receive your iCloud credentials or store this backup on Biutimi servers.
When currency conversion is enabled or refreshed, TikiShelf contacts the public Frankfurter exchange-rate service to retrieve current rates. The request does not include your home-bar inventory, journal, photos, saved riffs or other user-created content.
Permissions
TikiShelf requests camera access only when you choose to take a photo for a journal entry. Selecting an existing image uses Apple’s system photo picker. TikiShelf does not request access to your location, contacts, microphone or advertising tracking.
Children
TikiShelf is not directed at children. Alcohol-related recipes and content are intended only for adults of legal drinking age in their location. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
